Pain, swelling, edema, throbbing, aching, tingling, itching, heat, inflammation, dermatitis, skin changes, ulceration, bleeding.

Are varicose veins dangerous?

Yes and no. The majority of patients with varicose veins never have a serious medical complication from their condition. However, some people with varicose veins get complications such as phlebitis. Skin changes like dermatitis or lipodermatosclerosis which if left untreated, can progress to ulceration.
